Spring is best for babies.
We would just like to welcome Manuel's new baby - Tomas Osorio - who was looking very cute in his pointy cap.
Another warm welcome is in order for Mimi Huang's son - Nicholas Chin - who must be a born finance whiz having sat through all of Rock's lectures while in Mimi's tummy.

OVERHEARD - Urban Legend
Quotes that have been going around, but we at Overheard somehow forgot to add it in.
"Do I make you horny baby?"
-Alex Chan, in Talent Show 2003, in his ever endearing Aussie-by-way-of-British-boarding-school accent. Welcome Back Alex!
"Not so fast, Nhat-so Lam."
-alleged quote from a lovely lady in Brazil last spring break 2003
"I don't know who you are, but tonight, you are mine."
-Lionel in his this-line-only-works-if-you're-Lionel accent to an Aussie tourist in NYC. Goodbye Lionel, too bad you couldn't stick around till graduation but we understand, Australia was calling

War stories
"Best rejection feedback I got was this guy from Bain. He said, 'There were just a lot of other candidates who were better than you.'"
"Nothing beats the folks from 3M. I got home to find all my roommates snickering that I didn't get the job. 3M had sent me a rejection postcard."

-Prof. Henderson in managing innovation
"Now that you've drawn it, it doesn't seem like a good idea at all."
"A little trick of the trade there."
-Tom Stocky and Prof. Henderson on Tom's integration point in class

Some things you just can't ignore
"What, you don't know what H_____ looks like? Eyebrows of doom?
-first year Sloanie on a certain professor
And some people have their limits
"I just don't feel like drinking tonight."
"But you're Irish!"
"Hey, I'm human too."
-Sudden seriousness on the way to the Kong

A FRIENDLY GAME OF B-BALL. It's not the NCAA but aging MBA students can dream. Watch Sloan and HBS face-off as best they can 6:30 tonight at the Z-center for the Sloan HBS Basketball Classic.
Meet the team. See Lance trash-talking from the sidelines. Listen to D-Lee and Kenny Lee spin some beats, do commentary and make fun of everyone in sight. Watch as the players try to maintain their cool under the weight of MBA type-A competitive psyches that are shouting to just kill! kill! kill!
Come celebrate, commiserate, contemplate at the ever reliable HongKong after the game.

"We thought instead of a bunny hill, the company was taking a Benny Hill approach and chasing after whatever's fun and attractive."
-Chris R. in Managing Innovation
"Not so compelling. I think there are substitute products that have been there for a while. Like paper."
-Juan Antonio (with just a wee bit of sarcasm) on why E-ink isn't so hot

New addition to the Blogosphere.
In a rare moment of non-levity on this site, we invite you to A Random Walk Down Tech Street - Mark Williamson's new blog. All tech, all the time from a guy who knows his stuff. Hey, I actually come out of my sleep-deprived stupor to listen to our man Willy when he gives his two cents worth in class. And a rare moment that is for yours truly this spring semester, second year.
